Question
SE Asia rough itinerary, help wanted!
Hi! I am planning a trip to SE Asia in May and have a couple of places that I know I will be visiting but would like some suggestions for the in between times. Here is my very rough itinerary:
May 20th- Hong Kong
May 23 or 24th- open to suggestions please! Thinking about Vietnam, Laos or Cambodia
May 30th- need to arrive in Phuket, we have reservations at a resort for 1 week here
June 6th- Malaysia/Singapore
Sometime after that will be flying to Australia for 2 1/2 weeks and then to New Zealand for 1 1/2 weeks
I would really love if anyone had any suggestions on places that we shouldn't miss.
Also if anyone has any suggestions for cheap accomodations for Hong Kong it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

mmm that's a real short time but out of Vietnam, Laos and Cambo I would choose Cambodia, specifically Ankor Wat and surrounds. It is also easy and cheap to fly from here (Siam Reap) to Bangkok for connections to Phuket. Australia for 2.5 weeks???? Crazy stuff, depends where you are flying into. Assuning Sydney, blue mountains are lovely and hunter valley is cool. Cold this time of year tho! NZ is great, week and a half...no idea it is all great!
You are going to Hong Kong so don't miss Bangkok, its a beautiful city to travel, their are many cutural and historical places to travel and cheap for trendy shopping.
