Question

I've recently booked flights to Singapore with the intention of travelling overland through SE Asia. Maybe I've had my head in the sand but is it safe to travel up through Thailand. I've just recently heard there is are regular attacks in south Thailand.

Attacks are mainly between locals. They don't attack tourists. If you are carrying backpacks, then you are safe.
