Going to Argentina in Dec, Jan, & March.....bad idea??

Just wondering the best time to travel Argentina and work our way to the north

No it’s not a bad idea but in my opinion Argentina has not much to explore that you have kept three months for it. If you wanna visit South America with me then you can join me as I am planning to visit there in December and January. You can visit Argentina in March. I am going there to explore Ushuaia and Patagonia. I have heard that these are the best places to have adventure. Hi MH ~

I don't think there is ANY bad time of year to visit Argentina! :-) The months you mention are the summer months south of the equator, so in my opinion, would be great, if you don't mind the humidity. I guess the "best" time to travel depends on what you want to do and what kind of weather you want to do it in. Winter in Buenos Aires is pretty much in the 50's and 60's Farenheit, and sometimes 70's, so you can bike and walk and be outside and be comfortable. Many Argentines spend summers at the beaches. There are also some fun adventure/outside activities in Salta - Google for information.

Hello,
I think that is the best time of year to be in Argentina. I am going to be spending a couple months in the Patagonia region doing some rock climbing, hiking and whatever adventure I can set my hands on. That time of year is best to be down there because it is their summer months. Good time to escape the US winter! I am probably going to hit up los glaciares national park and los alerces national park for sure.
