Christmas in China

hello there,
I have just moved to Hong Kong, so this will be my first Christmas east. My husband, myself and my mother will be celebrating together and fancy getting out of Hong Kong to celebrate somewhere in China. We arent looking for western christmas celebrations, just want to use the holiday to travel somewhere for 3 days. Any suggestions for this amount of time, either close by or a flight away? I realise there are 10,000 options, but just wanted to see what people threw out there!

Welcome to China, Tigereyes. It's getting a bit cold down here and if you are looking for some place warm, I'd suggest you a trip to Hainan, it's a beautiful place and more details can be found at the following link:

If you are looking to get xmasy, you might wanna go to shanghai since they celebrate xmas there.There will be lots of stuff on sale and lots of shops with nice gifts to give out and also all kinds of shows and stuff.
