Anyone know about the trains from Civitavecchia to Rome?

Arrivi9ng on a cruise ship at Civit. and wondering if it is easy to take train to central terminal in Rome. Directions? Guidance?

I believe it is fairly easy to do this though I never have. If you go to the following Italian Rail site http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

type in Civitavecchia and Rome and a date and a time, you will see a schedule. It takes about an hour.

I suppose that the cruise line has a trip to Rome but you would rather be on your own. What my brother did was have the bus drop them off in Rome and then did their own thing until time to go back. You could see if your cruise line will do this.

Enjoy Rome, my favorite Italian city.
