Most hotels will hold your luggage until later the same day....ask at the bell desk or at Reception. If you indicate which city you'll be in, perhaps we could suggest ways to spend your day.

Welcome! I hope you've had a wonderful visit.

It is definitely a good idea to check with the hotel to see if they will hold your bags for you until later in the day when you are ready to pick them up. Many hotels will provide this service because there are lots of travelers in your situation.

Another idea is to call the airport and see if they have lockers that would be large enough to hold your belongings, and you could take them there after checkout and pick them up when you go to catch your plane.

Another alternative may be to hire a driver for the day after checkout(the concierge may be able to assist with this) and keep your luggage with you that way. Not knowing your budget, however, this may not be a frugal alternative! But it might be fun.
