advise needed for 1st time travelling to malaysia!
im planning to take a vacation and travel to one of malaysia's many islands to enjoy the beach. any suggestions where i should go? i think my priorities for the location would be: less people, low cost, easy to get to, and then anything else. my time is flexible, any information will be appreciated:)

You will need to know whether it's the West or East Malaysia that you're intending to go. The West and East have their own beauty and uniqueness, but it's quite hard to find beaches that are less populated. As I'm from Sabah, East Malaysia, there's plenty to offer around the Tunku Adbul Marine Islands just off Kota Kinabalu City, whereby 2 islands my just be your ideal gate away. Low cost, easy to get to, and of course, the friendly and warmth hospitality that the Sabahans are known for.
